Megan Wilde
Megan is a trauma-informed yoga teacher with over a decade of experience supporting individuals through birth and postpartum. With a perinatal specialty and 15+ years of teaching public yoga classes in Portland, OR, Megan brings deep care, somatic wisdom, and embodiment to every class and session.
They are a co-creator of Next Wave Birth Yoga Teacher Training and the creator of Tender Nest: Somatic Childbirth & Postpartum Education— providing body-aware, inclusive support for all birthing people, especially queer, trans, and gender-expansive folks.
Since 2011, Megan has supported families through pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. Their classes and workshops blend evidence-based education with embodied practice, making space for exploration, agency, and rest. They believe birthwork must be expansive and community-centered—not one-size-fits-all.
Megan lives on the traditional lands of the Chinook, Cowlitz, Clackamas, Multnomah, and many other tribes in so-called Portland, Oregon. Their approach is shaped by a love for the outdoors, a deep trust in the body’s wisdom, and a commitment to creating spaces where people can tend to what feels vulnerable, powerful, or in-between.
Megan holds a B.A. in Latin American Studies from Portland State University. They are trained as a yoga therapist (DAYA Foundation), doula (Mothertree and Birthing Advocacy), and Pelvic Floor Yoga Teacher® (Leslie Howard), and are certified in the BodyReady Method® and perinatal yoga (Shana Celnicker-Chong) and two years of Somatic Experiencing training.
