Turning Light: An 8-Week Evening Practice
For
Anyone
Schedule
Wednesdays, 7:15 – 8:30 PM
8 sessions: May 6th- June 24th, 2026
Location
My studio in the Ardenwald neighborhood, SE Portland, OR.
(Address provided after registration.)
About the Class
This evening practice is a space to tend to both movement and rest as the days stretch longer and spring gradually gives way to summer… like the turning light at the end of the day, where brightness softens into something quieter.
We’ll begin with an intentional flow to build warmth, strength, and awareness through breath and movement. From there, we’ll gradually downshift, allowing the body to soften into longer-held, supported restorative shapes for deeper rest.
We’ll explore the relationship between effort and ease and tend to the places that may need energy and activation and the ones that may be asking for softening and tenderness. Some moments may feel enlivening, others deeply grounding, with space for both to exist within the same practice.
You’ll be invited to listen inward, follow sensation, and tend to your full self, while both offering and receiving support with your presence, held within a shared practice.
Recordings
All classes are recorded and shared with participants. Videos remain available for 30 days, so you can revisit sessions or catch up whenever it works for you. If you happen to miss a class, there isn’t a make-up option—but the recordings are there to support your practice on your own schedule.
Sliding Scale Pricing
Choose the rate that best fits your situation:
$140 — struggle to meet basic needs and often need assistance / basic needs are mostly met and finances are not always steady
$170 — basic needs are mostly met and I can afford this class but I cannot contribute to create greater access for folks who have less than I do
$200 — finances are steady and I have more than enough to contribute and can support other people in accessing this class
